    What Oz-Edit will do for you:

    Basic Proofreading

    • We correct all spelling errors to Australian/British standard usage.  (We find typos such as profreading)  If you require US English usage, you will need to specify this.
    • We indicate the most appropriate punctuation. There are sometimes acceptable variations.
    • We check paragraphing and capitalization.
    • We correct poor grammar.

    Full line edit (copyediting)

    • We improve your English expression, where necessary.
    • We  offer pertinent advice on good construction, style and word usage.
    • We identify words that appear to be mis-used and offer suitable alternatives.
    • We make (removable) marginal comments where we are uncertain of your meaning or intention, so that you can clarify your thoughts for us. We liaise with you.
    • We meet your assignment deadlines, if your timeframe is realistic. We only accept work when we are sure we can return it to you on time.
    • We will always respect your intellectual property and allow you the final decision on changes.
    • We will flag when your argument becomes unclear or appears specious.

    What Oz-Edit will not do:

    • We will not attempt to alter or improve the academic content of your essay, even if it appears inadequate or inappropriate. That would impinge on your integrity. Our task is to correct grammar, expression, punctuation and spelling.
    • We will not accept unrealistic deadlines.  If we believe we can't complete on time, we will not accept the work.
    • We will not attempt to work on a document in which the language is so imperfect that a major re-write would be required. The university expects your essays to be substantially your own work, so it would be unethical for us to ghost-write the work.
    • We will not address referencing or footnoting, as each university has a different requirement.  Referencing, like academic content, is your responsibility. We will, of course, check for spelling errors within footnotes and references.
    • We will not work on assignments in English or English for Academic Purposes.  Your ability to use the English language is being tested, so it would be unethical for us to improve the results.

    • Include your name, address, university, faculty and required turnaround time. If your deadline is impossible for us, we will notify you immediately.
    • A PayPal* invoice based on the word count (eg. 2000 words = $20) will be sent to your email address. 
    • On receipt of the fee, we will commence work on your essay.
